Atmosphere was superb, service was fast and friendly,        and the paella - wow!

Salvador & Amanda Covent Garden, August 2016 | Adutchess, London, United Kingdom

Opened on Duke Street between Mayfair and Marylebone on Friday 2nd September 2016, Burlock is a cavernous rum bar with a party atmosphere, celebrating the Caribbean region’s most storied spirit.

The Story behind the name...

Burlock is the name that was given to the twine and hemp packaging that Rum Runners used during the prohibition era to move their rum. Introduced by celebrated rum runner Bill McCoy (who some say first coined the phrase “The Real McCoy"), a Burlock is a pack of six bottles jacketed in straw, three on the top, then two, then one, tied together in burlap material, economic of space and easy to handle.
